THE EINSTEIN/PHILBROOK CONNECTION
FUN FIND: Check out this great photo of Albert Einstein at the National Gallery of Art in Spring 1941. Behind him is a painting ("St. Stephen" by Carpaccio) that is now part of Philbrook Museum of Art's permanent collection. It was a gift from the Kress Foundation in 1961. Very cool!

SHOP, PARK, YIELD
A recent article in the New York Times talks about the shopping cart and its origins in Oklahoma City. But did you know that the parking meter and the "Yield" sign also come from the Sooner State! Quite the contribution to the world of industrial design.

THANK YOU
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to see our exhibition, "Carved with Distinction," featuring the 5 carved rhinoceros horn cups from Antiques Roadshow. The show ended yesterday (12/1) and was a giant success. Last but not least, thanks to the owner of the pieces for allowing us to show them. The episode featuring the cups will air on Monday, Jan. 2 on PBS. It's the season premier and the first of 3 Tulsa episodes.

We intend to pass on that trait of generosity to our son, Zachary. But it's up to all of us to support Philbrook for future generations."
